Beautiful, Magnificent, Mysterious, Calm, Ruthless, Scary …the adjectives are endless.

I don’t remember when was the first time I hit the waters, must have been in one of those Bombay Darshan’s. Then later when we shifted to Worli, she became a constant companion.

Simply sitting besides her, watching the waves, big and small trying to make it to the shore, would actually make me forget lot of things for a while .The biggest joy was seeing the big ball of fire trying to hide behind her. Repetitions of the same scene has never bored me.

Probably more than any friends in my life the great Arabian Sea have been a witness to all the ups and downs in my life.

When I cleared my major exams, the place of celebration was always the sea.
She knew the number of times my eyes have locked with people.
We both shared the same excitement when the first rains fell upon us.
When I was heartbroken the first time, I went up and cried to her
When I was heartbroken the second time, I still went up and cried to her.
Both the times, the shoulders were different but she was the same.
The only person to know all my dreams, as with her around I tend to open up and speak.
She has heard my laughter, my cries and my silence too.

My visits to her have definitely decreased, today had been there after a long time with a friend of mine….was there to introduce him to her, a ritual which I follow. My friend ended up saying “it feels nice here”…The mighty water just roared in acknowledgment.
